The Lake is a landscape series featuring a mountain lake at various times of the day. I created this work out of an initial inspiration to use more cream and purple colors. A common thread through all of my works is this idea of endeavor. For these works, the narrator of the text is experiencing change and “The Lake” became this temporary rest.
I painted this series with a warm and inviting sun color and painted the water as inviting as I could. I put in those feelings of experiencing the end of summer, when the season is about to change, but there’s still time to enjoy the beauty of this last summer day.
The Lake Part 4
Unique and high quality fine art print. Prints are painstakingly matched to the original artwork color and detail. Printed on archival Somerset 250gsm printmaking paper, each print features a deckled paper edge and float mounted on archival museum board.
Frame is made from all natural oak hardwood and coated with a clear finish to showcase the natural color of the wood. When purchasing a frame, artwork is assembled with a ¼ inch float within the frame.
