Pattern-making is one of the oldest human acts, the impulse to take a simple mark and repeat it until it becomes something with weight and atmosphere. These watercolors work in that tradition. Grids, shapes, and color relationships, painted by hand, each one carrying the evidence of the hand that made it. Each body of work is rooted in a season. The palette, the subject matter, and the mood are all drawn from a specific time of year.

Spring '25 Watercolor Pattern No. 6 - May - Fine Art Print
Purchasing artworks comes with several decisions related to framing. Fine Art Prints are available in four configurations. Art Only, Matted, Framed + Float Mounted, or Framed + Matted.
Art Only ships flat (M) or rolled in a tube (L), ready for your framer or an existing frame you own. Matted arrives with an acid-free archival mat, cut to standard frame dimensions, frame-ready. Framed + Float Mounted uses a solid hardwood frame, custom-sized to the artwork, with UV-filtering plexiglass, the print will float within the frame, deckled edges visible, and no mat. Framed + Matted is the same frame and glass with a 1" acid-free mat for a more formal presentation.
UV plexiglass matters, blocking light wavelengths that will fade pigments and yellow paper over time. Most standard frames do not include this. All framed pieces arrive wired and ready to hang.
